Welcome to Basto Valley!
Basto Valley began inside a family — people who love their roots and the Basto region, and who saw in that love a chance to share it with others.
So in 2023 the idea came to life and became everyone’s: not only through stays in our houses scattered across the Basto region, but also through activities and experiences tied directly to where we are from. The point is that you get the most out of the region and our customs, living from the inside what is most singular and characteristic about us.
The aim, then, is that you enjoy it fully, rest, and leave wanting to come back to this small refuge of ours that we call “home”.

The grape harvest tradition
In the Basto region the grape harvest is a practice and a tradition passed from one generation to the next, and it has lasted.
The harvest usually takes place in September, and the exact date always depends on how the grapes are ripening, which varies from year to year.
